Many of the documents on this website are only for our members, as a part of their membership. We are dependent on memberships and donations to stay afloat. Please consider joining us. The more members we have, the more TDCJ and the Texas Legislature listen to us.
There are documents that we want to share with everyone, and we will be uploading them to this page, so check back periodically to see what is new.
If you have not yet completed the survey for the Sunset Review, please download it, complete it, and send it to us at TIFA, PO Box 300220, Austin, TX 78703. We will compile your info into our TIFA report to the Sunset Commission. All info that we gather will be held in the strictest confidentiality. No names or identifying information will be shared with anyone.
The PACT Conference will be held at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville on Saturday, March 24, 2012, 8:30am - 4pm. Our newsletter, 'Contact Winter 07-08', (link below) has the history of the Public Awareness - Corrections Today (PACT) Conference. At this conference, many of our members have been able to talk with someone from TDCJ who was then able to help them with a problem they were having. One mom got her son moved from a unit where his life was in danger. I make no claims that this will happen, but PACT does afford all of us access to the important people in TDCJ (and thus in the lives of our loved ones!).
